The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce  launched the Plastic Waste Management Campaign on September 11, 2019.

It is launched under the Swachhta Hi Sewa 2019, which is beginning from September 11.

 Theme of Swachhta Hi Sewa 2019- ‘Plastic Waste Management’.

 DPIIT will ensure recycling of all plastic waste collected on October 2, 2019 in cement kilns by Diwali 2019.
