Supreme Court sets 18 October deadline for conclusion of Ayodhya hearings. The Supreme Court on Wednesday said it hoped hearings in the Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid land dispute case would be concluded by 18 October.
The constitution bench hearing the Ayodhya dispute is headed by CJI(Chief Justice Of India) Ranjan Gogoi, who is going to retire on November 17, 2019.
If the judgement on the case is not delivered before the CJI’s retirement, then the entire case would have to be heard afresh with a new judge replacing Justice Gogoi.
